Influenced by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Leonard Cohen, and Tom Waits, Total Gadjos do for Slavic folk music what Gogol Bordello did for Romani music and the Pogues did for Irish folk. They rev it up to punk speed and power while maintaining the melodic sense of the original sound and use the accordion, sax, trumpet, clarinet and sometimes violin for Slavic folk authenticity. Total Gadjos celebrate Eastern European Folk music's confident freewheeling party songs by giving them proper praise, respect, and pizzaz.
