"Anyone who can appreciate the fine art of songwriting, accompanied by fleeting moments of Kate Bush brilliance should become intimate with the music of Suzanne de Bussac" - Exclaim! Magazine
Suzanne de Bussac is a Canadian singer/songwriter now based in Calgary after years on the Toronto scene. She describes her original music as "neoclassical post punk art pop", with influences including the likes of The New Pornographers, Kate Bush, Daniel Lanois and Paul Simon. Influenced also by artists such as Tom Waits, Edith Piaf and Rufus Wainright, de Bussac also offers up an eclectic set of Cabaret stylings she calls "playful pokes at life, death, hangups and heartbreak". Suzanne performs as a solo artist on piano, guitar and accordion, and with her band featuring Jeff Kushner on electric guitar, Conan Daly on Bass and Anders Czarnecki on drums. Her sophomore album SHIVER STORIES is scheduled for release in Fall of 2018.
