Spectacular rock-pop trio
rontman Luis Lamela started his music career in 2000, after rediscovering an old keyboard in his parent’s attic. Two years later, he started performing gigs at a local bar in San Isidro, BA, Argentina. In the year 2007 he joined drummer Diego Curcumelis to start their own project. About a year later BACBRUCE was finally formed and in 2009 they recorded their first EP with all original songs created during the 2007-2009 period. The EP “Rue du Bac” was released on the same year and was presented with a live show at Libario, Buenos Aires. The songs “Yo Vi” and “Envases” where chosen to be played on 98.3 Mega Radio contest. The formation of the band changed between these periods as drummer Diego Curcumelis had other touring commitments with other big local artist.
In 2010 Luis moved to Edmonton, Canada and in 2012 had a side project “Hidden Stache” with friend Alex Fernando and released an electronic-rock double album self-titled. After this project he decided to return to the studio and release a new material album with BACBRUCE. The album “Cassette” was released in June 2013. This album was followed by the maxi-single “PRE” in 2014. During 2015 he released a soundtrack called “A friend’s swimming pool”. “Just Worry!” is the latest EP release in 2018 and was played on local radio (NOW radio 102.3) and well received by online fans of the band. 2019 is the comeback of original drummer Diego Curcumelis as full time member, plus a series of live shows and new EP.
