Full-sized elevated (16" high), carpeted stage suitable for up to a 6-piece band, with a sound-deadened black backdrop directly behind, and lighter-coloured baffles up high above the stage, onto which we typically project imagery about the artists. The stage is centrally located to give sight lines to much of our seating.
We have a large, open dining room with a central square bar. The room has traditional small-table seating as well as large-table communal seating to support up to about 250 seats, but is typically set for about 220. The large stage is located in the largest corner of the dining room and oriented at 45 degrees out for viewing by 3 major sections of the room. An area direct in front of the stage is typically left clear in case guests want to come up and dance.
We have a full backline sound system including monitor speakers on individual aux busses from a 30-channel digital (QSC) mixer. The main outs of the mixer are piped to a SMS226 Sound Management System, which drives 2 Cerwin-Vega 18" subs, 2 JBL 15" PA speakers, and 3 more Yorkville 12" 1000W speakers distributed throughout the pub, so even tables on the other side of our large space can hear the music. In the summer, music can also be piped outside to our patio sound system.
