Kat Krys is a Twenty-year-old country/folk singer-songwriter from Sherwood Park who loves playing guitar and singing. Performing for over 6 years, she has played at many events and venues such as The Aviary, BVJ Horizon Stage, Ravenwood Festival, Ranchman's, CCMA Country Crawl, and many more. January 2026 Kat Krys and her Country Roots Ensemble opened for The Bros. Landreth at the Triffo Theatre in Edmonton. She has won and been nominated for several awards, including CMAB Horizon Youth Award and the SPMF Best Senior Popular Vocal award. Releasing her single, “Not Your Friend”, in April 2025, it features a soft beat that showcases her sweet voice. Kat Krys continues to showcase her talent throughout Alberta, taking every opportunity that comes her way. She has performed over 150 shows and is constantly improving her craft as a musician. Her writing process is in the moment, making her music reflect who she is today. As a songwriter, she always writes, coming up with new concepts and emotions that she can translate into music. Kat Krys has been featured and interviewed on radio stations such as CJWE, River Country 94.9, CKMS 102.7 FM, CFWE and more. She is excited about her future in the music industry.
