Growing up in a musically inclined family instilled a passion in Cam Blake at an early age. Having started writing music at just 8 years old in his hometown of Maple Ridge, BC, Cam has spent most of his life performing, and producing his original music. Cam takes inspiration from a wide array of genres— this allows him to blend the sounds of Indie, Electronic, Pop, Alternative and Psychedelic Rock into his own work. Cam currently lives in Vancouver, BC where he spends his time writing and recording in the studio, and working alongside fellow musicians by helping them with production, mixing, and putting on local shows.
Cam released his debut album “Bad Vacation” in January 2021. Featuring established artists such as Young Friend, Ludic (Maxton Cunningham), and Molly Annelle, the project has surpassed 150k streams since its initial release.
Performing in venues such as The Fox Cabaret, The Biltmore and The Rickshaw Theatre, Cam and his band have been playing shows all around the downtown Vancouver area since early 2019. While continuing to improve his skills as a songwriter and producer by working on his own projects, Cam contributes to the works of Bookclub, Clare Twiddy, Hunker and more to be announced.
In August of 2022, Cam covered seven cities on his Western Canadian tour, during which he promoted his latest EP “Finding My Way Home.” Cam Blake is set to release his sophomore album at the end of 2023.
