About
Self-taught multi-instrumentalist boasting an extensive memorized catalogue of popular cover songs spanning from the 60s to modern releases.
Born and raised just north of Edmonton, Luc Riopel is a self-taught multi-instrumentalist who takes pride in being a musical purist - performing songs strictly from memory and by ear. He has been the manager and frontman of one of Alberta’s most consistent and successful cover bands (Mourning Wood) for over 2 decades. His band has been hired on numerous occasions by the Edmonton Oilers, Edmonton Elks, and performed at countless other functions, corporate events, and weddings across the province. Luc’s band has opened for iconic Canadian acts such as Glass Tiger, Trooper, April Wine, Kim Mitchell, The Sheepdogs, and Jeff Martin, not to mention performing alongside Steven Page of the Barenaked Ladies.
While still managing and performing with the band, Luc has recently embarked on his solo musical journey, adopting the stage name “LucWarm”.
Constantly catering his vast song repertoire to the demographic present, Luc can effortlessly adapt to the overall vibe of any room.
