Patrick Felixson is a straight-ahead jazz vocalist from Fredericton, New Brunswick, known for his rich, bright, and nimble tenor voice. With a slight gravel that adds depth and a romantic elegance, his sound blends the traditional with the modern, creating performances that feel both fresh and personal.
His musical journey began early, first with Disney songs, but everything changed when he heard Ella Fitzgerald’s Satin Doll. “Ella was probably the first singer who really captivated me. I was around 6 or 7 when I first heard her,” he says. That moment solidified his love for jazz, a genre that felt like home.
Patrick’s voice stands out for its ability to convey emotion and tell a story. That as well as his stage presence draws listeners in, making every performance uniquely his own.
He has performed at iconic venues like Birdland, Smalls Jazz Club, Minton’s Playhouse, and Swing 46, and shared the stage with top musicians such as Joel Miller, Billy Stritch, Peter Rioux, Jason Flores and Jon Bailey just to name a few.
From Fredericton’s Harvest Jazz & Blues Festival to stages across North America, Patrick is steadily establishing himself as one of the most exciting voices in jazz today.
