Floen is a high-energy, heart-driven band rooted in a rich blend of country, rock, and folk music. At the core are husband-and-wife duo Keith and Lana Floen, co-founders of the award-winning group The Travelling Mabels and the long-standing corporate band Kickstart. With decades of experience both onstage and behind the scenes, they’ve built a musical legacy grounded in storytelling, soul, and deep connection with audiences. Keith Floen has been a professional musician for over 40 years, touring with Canadian legends such as Ian Tyson, Tom Jackson, and many others. His dynamic piano playing and vocals bring a classic rock edge with a rootsy, honky-tonk flair. He’s also the owner of the nationally known corporate act Calgary Dueling Pianos, delivering high-energy shows across Canada. Lana Floen, with over 35 years of performing experience, brings a signature folk-country feel with powerful vocals and natural stage presence. Over the years, she’s performed with artists like Gene Watson and The Elvis Imperials. In 1998, after winning the Calgary Sing With Shania contest, she performed live onstage at the Saddledome with Shania Twain and Shania’s band—a standout moment in a long and diverse musical career. Joining them are their daughter Kylah Floen on bass guitar and electric guitarist Chad Holtzman, whose tasteful playing adds energy and edge to the group’s timeless sound. From heartfelt ballads to driving country-rock anthems, Floen brings a little country, a little rock, a little folk—and a whole lot of heart—to every stage they play.
