About
Adrian Wilson is an intimate indie-folk artist blending acoustic warmth, lo-fi textures, and heartfelt lyrics exploring identity, belief, and emotional honesty. Adrian performs solo or with a band.
Adrian Wilson is a Canadian singer-songwriter whose music blends the honesty of folk with modern ambient textures. Rooted in intimate acoustic performance, his sound is coloured by subtle synths, spacious pads, and cinematic dynamics—creating songs that feel both deeply personal and quietly expansive. Lyrically, Adrian writes about doubt, grief, hope, and the unraveling of belief systems, offering stories told with vulnerability and emotional clarity.
In 2013, Adrian partnered with Kris MacQueen and producer Jon Horvath to release Wilson & MacQueen, a self-titled debut featuring the single “You Are The Rock,” nominated for Best Bluegrass/Roots Song of the Year. That early project established his reputation for thoughtful lyricism and a voice that connects in both small rooms and larger spaces.
Adrian’s live show is known for contrast: pin-drop quiet moments where an audience leans in, followed by full-band crescendos that feel cinematic and immersive. It’s folk at the center—warm, melodic, and human—but shaped with modern production and subtle electronic elements that add depth and mood.
His newest release, The Unravelling (EP), continues this exploration. Written in a season of deconstruction and renewal, the songs move from disorientation to hard-won clarity—honest about what’s been lost, yet still reaching for hope and light.
