The Stingray Shuffle describes Jonathan Caplan as either a solo performer or band leader. It's mostly standards from the jazz songbook, it can be bluesy and improvisational, but also have parts that are tightly composed. He'll also sprinkle in mainstream favorites from the 60s onward, and perhaps a rare original. Because of his versatility he can play full and satisfying arrangements of classic songs as a solo act, but can also assimilate that easily with a backing band for more energetic, party-like atmospheres.
