French-born, New Orleans-based multi-instrumentalist Raphaël Bas doesn’t just play music—he bridges worlds. Blending Gypsy jazz, New Orleans tradition, French musette, and Latin rhythms, the self-taught guitarist and harmonica virtuoso crafts a rich, layered sound all his own.
A co-founder of the award-winning Vavavoom and leader of Harmonouche—featured on two Putumayo compilations—Bas has shared stages with legends and lit up festivals like Jazz Fest and French Quarter Fest. Whether performing weekly in New Orleans or touring from Chicago to the cobblestones of France, he delivers technical mastery with heartfelt soul.
