Milkbird is the duo project of prolific Calgary songwriters & musicians Alex Klipper and Natalie Inga. They each represent several original music projects and serve as supporting collaborators in others, including L’omelette, The Sour Patch Men, Bridgeland, Deicha & The Vududes, Joe Vickers Band, Fermented Beet Orchestra, GFY, The Fig & The Flame, and Natalie Inga & The LadyBros. Collectively they have earned nominations for Breakout West Pop Artist of the Year, YYC Award Folk Recording of the Year, a Rosie Award, and held a spot in the CBC Searchlight Regional Finals. Natalie and Alex write and perform across genres, ranging from Folk to Bluegrass, Jazz to R&B, and even from Punk to Indie Rock. Through Milkbird, Natalie and Alex represent these genre influences in stripped down yet dynamic arrangements featuring combinations of guitar, vocals, saxophone and the banjo. This playfully whimsical pair manage an almost Seussical view on life and love while paying homage to timeless classics.
