Erika Mae is a singer songwriter born, raised, and based in Calgary, Alberta. Already turning heads with her textured, timeless voice and deeply honest songwriting, Erika Mae draws inspiration from Americana, Folk, Country, Blues, and Pop. Erika brings a modern edge to classic sounds, creating a sound that is uniquely her—and connecting with audiences across genres and generations. Erika Mae recently recorded her debut releases in Nashville, Tennessee. Her first single “Nobody’s Fool”, released in September 2025 is a vulnerable-yet-powerful, hauntingly beautiful ballad about growth, perseverance, self worth, and not sacrificing parts of yourself for someone else. Erika Mae was interviewed about her release “Nobody’s Fool” on radio stations such as CBC (see link at bottom of site), & CKUA where it is frequently spun, it can also be heard on a variety of other stations across Canada. It was also a finalist in the 2025 American Songwriter contest. Her second single released in January 2026 is “Back When it Mattered”, a song born from heartbreak, about escaping toxic cycles in relationships and choosing yourself. “Back When It Mattered” was recently in the Top 3 for ‘Best Original Song’ at the Ranchman's Rising Star contest allowing her to perform at the contest finals. With lyrics of insight and depth, she writes songs that connect people through the shared emotions of the human experience. She has recently graduated from MacEwan University with a Diploma in Music Performance, and frequently gigs around Calgary and Edmonton. Erika has performed at venues in Calgary including The King Eddy, Blue Jay Sessions (at The Prairie Emporium), Cowboys Dance Hall, Ship & Anchor, Hayden Block, The Attic (a sold out show for the release of “Nobody's Fool”, and a second sold out show for “Back When It Mattered”), The Trop Bar and Grill, Banquet University & Mahogany, Fionn MacCool's, Brewsters, The Dorset, Mikey’s Juke Joint, Best of Kin, Ranchman's, The Artist Lounge, Gravity Cafe & more. Erika is also set to play Lilac Festival, 4th Street Night Market, Taste of Calgary and more this summer. She has also played in & around Edmonton at venues such as Daisy's Saloon, The Dive Bar, One Eleven Grill, LB's Pub, The Blackdog, & Felice Noir Cafe. In past years she has performed in events such as the Calgary Stampede Talent Search, Calgary Stampede Window on the West stage, Olympic plaza, Heritage Park, as well as won first place awards in multiple categories at the Calgary Performing Arts festival.
