About the event
The Kensington Legion Branch 264 in Northwest Calgary is one of Canada's largest and most active Legions, which was founded in 1953 to supoort veterans. It offers a public lounge, live music, a dart league, and event space. It is well known in the area, and is known for being a community hub, with low-priced drinks, and for affordable casual pub-fare and other snacks. This Branch was redeveloped in 2017 in partnership with the Truman Development Corporation, and also provides meeting rooms for Community use. Through vocals and guitar, David Morris plays a variety of music covering many decades, including jazz, country, folk, bluegrass, along with some originals and instrumentals. And given that this is Day 2 of our Calgary Stampede 10-day event, David will be entertaining with some country-cowboy-classics! In the past he has played in many outdoor and indoor music festivals, including many in Southern Alberta, Kaslo B.C. and other areas. Feel free to contact David at dwmorris5@hotmail.com or at 403-969-4795 should you wish to book.
