He has that something extra – in spades in fact." - Local Drop Magazine Influenced by the music of legendary artists like The Allman Brothers Band and modern greats such as Gary Clark Jr and Joey Landreth, The Marcus Trummer Band from Calgary, AB features an original brand of blues infused rock & roll. Led by riff-driven guitar work, anchored in soulful southern inspired vocals, the 4-piece group has played numerous shows and festivals in Alberta since forming in early 2018. The band has taken part in a residency at The Blues Can in Calgary since September 2018 where they have hosted a monthly youth jam created to support local up-and-coming musicians. Their most recent single "Good Times" was released this past fall and received support on x92.9’s Xposure show. The band is currently recording more music set for release prior to the summer festival season. Performance highlights include: a showcase set at The National Music Centre, supporting the Mocking Shadows at Ironwood Stage & Grill and supporting Peter & The Wolves as part of Heritage Park's outdoor summer concert series. Venues/festivals played 2018-19: The National Music Centre, Ironwood, The Blues Can, Festival Hall, Ship and Anchor, Broken City, Junction YYC, Without Papers Pizza, Heritage Park Music in the Plaza, Atlantic Trap & Gill, Jane Bond BBQ, Kane's Harley Diner, Bridgeland-Riverside Farmers' Market and Robert McClure Farmers' Market, East Town Get Down, Black Diamond Music Fest and 15 Minutes of Fame Festival.
