Liz Christensen is an Alberta-based pop/country artist. She has been nominated for “Pop Recording of the Year” and Songwriter of the Year” the 2024 YYC Music Awards. Liz is inspired by the sounds of Sheryl Crow, Stevie Nicks, and Taylor Swift.
Her debut EP, “Oopsie Daisy” (released October 2024), captures the ups and downs of her mid-twenties. The title track, co-written with Hannah Gazso, is a heartfelt love song that Liz describes as “so sweet” and full of the whirlwind emotions of falling in love for the first time.
Beyond her solo work, Liz has contributed to The Blue Jay Sessions projects, lending her voice to covers of classics like “The Best” (2022) and “Both Sides Now” (2020). In 2018, she won 96.5 CKFM’s Star Search in her hometown of Olds, AB, marking an early milestone in her career.
Her collaborations with Red River Métis artist Brandi Vezina include tracks like “Gasoline” (2022) and “Dodged a Bullet” (2023), both of in which have enjoyed national airplay on SiriusXM.
Some notable 2024 performances include the YYC Music Awards and the Songwriters Showcase at the Country Music Alberta Awards. Liz also frequently performs at The King Eddy and in the round as a part of The Blue Jay Sessions.
