Jesse Shire is a singer-songwriter/multi-instrumentalist from Calgary, Alberta, who in the past three years has made himself a mainstay in the Western Canadian music scene. He’s performed at the Calgary Folk Music Festival, was a part of the inaugural Singer-Songwriter Residency at the Banff Centre, has recorded with Howard Bilerman (producer for Arcade Fire’s Funeral), shared songs with Jeff Hanna (of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band), had music featured on both the CBC, has done a live show on BBC radio, and has performed north of the arctic circle. He’s a permanent member of Calgarian bands Rosalind and I Am The Mountain, and has performed with countless other groups from Alberta and BC. In early 2018 he toured the UK with Glasgow-based artist Carla J Easton, and in 2019 is planning on attended McGill University in Montreal, and will be releasing new material as a solo artist.
