About the artist
“A unique twist on traditional folk! The Co-Conspirators are a Montreal, QC based band playing modern folk music with elements of country, blues, gospel, bluegrass, and general roots music.”
Whether about social injustice, tales of travel, or love lost or found, the songs from folk duo The Co-Conspirators, are provocative and moving, bringing life and light to a room. Their vocal harmonies are often compared to Ian and Sylvia Tyson and The Weavers. Described as modern day troubadours, The Co-Conspirators have performed at hundreds of house concerts, folk societies, festivals, seniors and community centres, bars, and restaurants since 2019, and shall continue to tour Canada until they've visited every nook and cranny. They perform a mix of originals and covers: folk, singer-songwriter, bluegrass, country, blues, and general roots music. The Co-Conspirators' second full length recording (The Unreliable Narrators), was released in January 2022, and their 3rd release - Half a Tank of Gas and a Full Case of Beer (a Fred Eaglesmith Tribute) - was release July 1st, 2023.
