About the artist
“"Wow, what a beautiful voice" - Concert guest”
Sean Perrin was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta. After receiving a degree in classical music performance, he spent nearly two decades performing, teaching, and recording as a professional clarinetist and percussionist. After a brush with death in 2023, he chose to turn his full musical attention to songwriting in an effort to bring his own musical ideas to life.
Solo Act: Sean's music is mellow, reflective, rhythmic, and decorated with memorable falsetto choruses. He mostly performs original music, but is known to sprinkle covers throughout the set by bands including Radiohead, Matthew Good, Beck, Bon Iver, and more. Ideal for sets 30 to 60 minutes with a 10 minute intermission.
Duo Act: A combined show is possible with Ryan Nolin accompanying Sean on portable electronic drum set (see video above), and then Ryan performing another selection of songs, in a contrasting but complimentary style, with Sean on drums. This setup is ideal for shows 60 to 90+ minutes in length, with a 15 minute intermission.
In the studio, Sean's music is fully realized thanks to funding from The Alberta Foundation of the Arts and private donors, and can be listened to on all streaming services, or , downloaded "pay what you want" style at www.innerspear.com
