About the event
Join us for an intimate evening of storytelling as three local musicians take turns sharing their original music in an immersive ‘in-the-round’ performance. Come support singer-songwriters Michael J Copley, Eden Taylor and CELIN at Cafe Gravity in Inglewood on Friday March 28th - music starts at 6:30pm. Looking forward to seeing you there. Michael J Copley: Indie artist Michael J Copley (MJC) is a prolific songwriter known as a master of melodies, an excellent performer, and a writer that creates beautifully layered compositions rich with rhythm and harmony. MJC has a beautiful tenor voice which is often complimented with a strong piano or guitar base. MJC is mainly influenced by rock, house (electronic), and jazz. He tries to emulate a strong pulse, syncopation, and harmonic tensions in his songwriting. MJC has been described as an indie / alternative rock / folk / singer songwriter. Eden Taylor: Eden Taylor is a dynamic singer-songwriter whose sound blends cinematic pop, blues, and country. With a voice reminiscent of Sheryl Crow and Alicia Keys, she brings soulful storytelling and rich melodies to every performance. A former member of the Young Canadians of the Calgary Stampede, Eden has played over 300 shows across North America, including the Blind Pig Festival in Vancouver. Her original song Big City Dreams earned her a spot at Nashville bootcamps and a North American country music competition. With her debut single Jealousy marking the start of her solo journey, Eden Taylor is an artist to watch. CELIN (all capital letters) CELIN captivates audiences with her rich tone, catchy melodies, and intricate lyrics. This Calgary-based singer-songwriter has a genre-defying sound that blends elements of soul, R&B, indie-folk and pop. Her storytelling explores the ebbs and flows of self-identity, mental health, and social pressures. She promises to deliver you real emotion, grit and groove.
