About the event
In 1925, Louis Armstrong put together a band made up of Kid Ory on trombone, Johnny Dodds on clarinet, Johnny St. Cyr on banjo, and Lil Hardin-Armstrong on piano that would shake up the jazz world. This was Louis Armstrong's Hot Five Quintet. In June of 1926, the group recorded some of their most memorable tunes such as Basin Street Blues and Muskrat Ramble.
Come join the Joel Warren Quintet as they celebrate 100 years since the Hot Five's most famous recordings and the great music of Satchmo himself.
