Born & raised in Calgary Alberta, Phenix's songs tell of the faith, love & loss found between the open prairies & towering Rocky Mountains of Southern Alberta. Phenix’s distinct sound is grounded in lush acoustic guitars, lo-fi basement recordings, nostalgic drum sounds & winding pedal steel. His debut album Nothing But The Blood, intertwines ideas of love, christianity & self acceptance in a unique & mature way for a first release. Phenix also produces records with artists such as Heather May, Luke Nielsen, Wyatt C Louis & others across the Canadian music scene at his studio in Calgary “Alta Sound”.
